What is the difference between water and mineral water?
In contrast to tap water, there are strict guidelines for mineral water in Austria that only allow a few treatment processes. It is the only food item in Austria that requires official approval by the Austrian authorities. In short, we are not allowed to change anything about the essential components of our Gasteiner mineral water - and of course we don't want to. It remains exactly as it is - fresh from the Hohe Tauern directly into the bottle!
What are the characteristics of natural mineral water?
Gasteiner mineral water is a purely natural product because it comes from the unspoiled nature of the Hohe Tauern. On the way to its source, it seeps through the various rock layers of the alpine mountains and in the process enriches itself with natural minerals and valuable trace elements. This is how it reaches our spring in Bad Gastein after a long journey. And because we leave it as it is, Gasteiner mineral water is 100% pure nature.
Is Gasteiner mineral water actually freed from germs?
Our Gasteiner mineral water is of course microbiologically tested at its source to safeguard its impeccable quality. We therefore ensure that it does not contain any pathogens. However, its natural microflora is retained. However, this microflora is found in every water that comes from a natural source. It is therefore absolutely harmless.
Why is mineral water so healthy?
Just like tap water, mineral water supplies the cells of the body with vital fluid. Unlike tap water, however, mineral water cannot be contaminated by the in-house plumbing system. In the case of Gasteiner, this original purity of the water is particularly exceptional, as it is the only mineral water to come from the primary rock of the protected region of the Hohe Tauern National Park.
Why is Gastein mineral water so special?
Due to the mild mineralisation of Gasteiner mineral water, the cells are particularly well supplied with water. This makes it easier to remove harmful substances and the body is quickly supplied with oxygen and nutrients. This increases our vitality - we can concentrate better and are more efficient.
How are PET bottles recycled?
At Gasteiner, we have already switched to using 100 % rePET bottles. When disposed of correctly, our PET bottles become new PET bottles again. At this point we would like to refer to the company PET2PET: a large proportion of Austrian PET bottles are recycled.
